We worked with a major construction concern to help them engage diverse suppliers for the construction of Chicago's Red, Blue and Green elevated track renovations. Together with Walsh we developed and implemented a community affirmative action initiative aimed to drive more Chicago-area minorities into the construction industry. RGMA collaborated with elected officials and their constituents and the Chicago Public Schools to increase access to and knowledge of opportunities in construction. As a result, Walsh exceeded their diversity goals while creating economic opportunity as a whole.
IMPACT: Converted supplier diversity requirements into economic development.
